National Association for Smart City Developers and Aggregators (NASDA) is the premium body of all stakeholders who contribute in the development of Smart Cities in the country. ‘SMART’ is a term to be seriously considered as an acronym. It refers to Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. The immovable asset which is land is the basic ingredient and the foundation to build ‘SMART’. NASDA has identified the other factors and verticals to optimize the available resources with introduction of Technologies in Construction, Materials Procurement, Manufacturing Processes, Supply Chain for availability of products and services, Marketing of finished product and all this with a spirit of Nation Building.
NASDA shall promote Technology and related education, in order to join the dots and bridge any gaps that could hamper promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, the potent fuel for inclusive growth. A wise man, when once asked about what is real estate; Replied with high degree of simplicity, that anything above the ground and anything below the ground which is created by man, is real estate. Therefore, the fundamental is immovable assets upon which any business is built, across sectors, be it commercial, institutional or residential projects, stand out clearly as the potential growth engine for the next two decades. The Government’s introduction of Special Economic Zones was one such initiative wherein the land was earmarked for specific purposes to attract even foreign investments. The business and trade laws were quite liberally sanctioned. Still there are limitations and that’s why the SEZ concept was not able to achieve its potential. The times are changing. Provisions of yesteryears could now see a paradigm shift as Technology helps in innovating and reduction in costs for businesses to run more efficiently and effectively. NASDA shall delve into identifying all aspects to catalyse the economic growth of the country.
Smart Cities Concept, whereby the standard of living of the citizens of the country has been visualized to improve, is the next big thing. NASDA shall put in efforts towards providing impetus for faster growth through propagation of Technologies and Engineering. The Government is absolutely driving for scaling up the skills of the workforce through Skill Development Courses under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. In order to build Atmanirbhar Bharat or Self Reliant Bharat, certain reforms have been announced. There is need for these initiatives to have wider influence. NASDA through its Member Companies shall partner with the Government in ensuring implementation of these policies and establishing desired objectives. NASDA provides the platform and brings the stakeholders together to understand Government policies and initiatives to garner maximum output for the benefit of the industry. Industry experts, Academicians, Researchers and Scholars, Retired Government policy makers and regulators, Practitioners and Users, have consolidated their support and taken a pledge for the upliftment of the Society and the Nation.
