As responsible citizens of India, it is an endeavour to partake the vision set by the Government, towards urban transformation and building Smart Cities wherein Technology, Infrastructure, Transportation, Energy Efficiency, Pollution Control, Optimum use of Natural Resources, Creation of consumer friendly environment can be the focus areas. A balance has to be maintained considering the rural environment through imparting education and skill development, as every citizen’s life is positively impacted with changing dynamics of living standards.
Promoting Technologies for the benefit of every stakeholder of the Ecosystem of Development of Smart Cities and Rural India, in order to promote ethical and best practices and play pivotal role in improving the lifestyle of the citizens of the country and provide safe, healthy and flourishing environment. Partnering with the Government to further the Agenda set for the country and also translates Government policies to the industry, thereby creating a two-way communication channel in order to also convey Industry’s challenges and areas of concern, for conducive business ecosystem and speedy progress.
Organization’s objectives can be achieved by the cohesive synergies of people who align with the Vision and Mission of the Organization. Eminent personalities who very thoughtfully have come together are the Members of the Advisory Board and also represent the Technology Governance Steering Committee in Smart Cities of All India Council for Robotics and Automation (AICRA).

Amit Agrawal, is an inspiring figure in the Robotics community of India. He is credited to have established India’s first Indigenous Robotics Manufacturing Company in 2006. Despite his severe disability (100% quadriplegia), he has shaped his company M/s DSI (aka DSI Robotics), as the leading Robotics company in Confined space and Water & Wastewater horizontals in India, through sheer determination and unbelievable will power.
Over 15 years ago, Amit envisioned the Need for Self-reliance in the field of Robotics in India. He observed the limitations in classical methods of inspection, cleaning, repair and maintenance of confined space and underwater assets. Being a Catastrophic Accident survivor, he was specially moved by the plight of Sewer workers and marine divers in India, who were faced with a hard choice between their own life and the survival of their family.
Under his leadership, DSI successfully delivered India’s first Indigenous Pipeline Survey Robot in 2007. Since then, DSI Robotics has spent the last 15 years developing methodologies and designing indigenous robotic solutions for reducing and in some cases, even eliminating manual-intervention in confined space, underwater and various other hazardous environments. Their research in W&WW robotics has provided respite to major industrial setups in increasing the usability of their Assets by maintaining the health and integrity of these essential systems without compromising on their OHS obligations.
Today, DSI provides a gamut of exclusive services and world-class Robots to Municipal, Industrial and Marine industry in India. They are a world leader in providing ROVs for several classes of confined space and underwater robotics. DSI has achieved this status because of its commitment to quality and focus on real-world problems faced by the industry rather than getting mused by industrial gold rushes.
Amit is a source of inspiration, not only to budding start-ups but also to Specially-Abled entrepreneurs across India and the World.
